MY STORY
Are You Ready For a Change?
My name is Magan Calhoun, and I am a recovering perfectionist, that learned about the power of Human Design in 2020. Over the past couple of years, I have been on a journey of discovering myself through human design and how life gets to be easy when you understand who you were meant to be and live that truth. My life went from being completely ruled by victimhood, diet culture, perfectionistic behavior, and being wildly unhappy in most areas of my life to a place of awareness, love, and self-acceptance.

When the pandemic was in full force in 2020, I was very unhappy with my appearance, job, and life choices in general. In 2020, I decided, enough was enough. I could not go on another day hating my body, living in the past and being angry. There was so much uncertainty at that time that I was literally terrified of everything. I stopped watching the news, got off Facebook and turned to a self-love podcast and that is where my journey began. I became aware of how the noise of life, media and social media was negatively affecting all areas of my life. I decided to completely stop looking at Facebook, I filled my Instagram with people and pages that lit my soul on fire. I filled my feed with body positivity and listened to hundreds of podcasts that year all about how to change my relationship with my body. During 2020, I finished my doctoral degree in and started to realize how my past patterns kept me stuck in all areas of my life for far too long. It was through podcasts that I woke up and started to build this life I get to live now; my journey has changed me forever.
I discovered Human Design through a podcast and was hooked from that moment. When I started to explore Human Design, I was so overwhelmed and confused about the system. The resources available online are vast but it was hard to decipher how to actually apply what I was reading online. I ordered multiple books, reading and learning as much as my little investigator heart allowed! I was amazed at how accurate the system was and I knew immediately this system would change people’s lives for good. I started implementing my strategy and learned more about my authority, but I felt overwhelmed by all the technical information. I decided to pursue a certification for Human Design and that is when it all started falling into place. In the certification we learned how to not only understand the entire system of human design but learned how to apply it to our lives, businesses, and relationships. We had time to practice and implement all the aspects and learned how human design can be transformational in all areas of your life.
Since learning and applying my human design, going through a spiritual awakening, and the release of diet culture, I have completely transformed my life. I have released decades of conditioning about body image, fitness, being a mom and wife, and shifted beliefs around my career (to name a few). This conditioning was keeping me stuck in victimhood, overwhelm and self-loathing; now I can confidently say that my perspective shifted to true empowerment, love of myself, releasing perfectionism and living in true alignment the way I was designed. I finally started to believe that life gets to be easy, we are not supposed to struggle every step of the way!
My transformation has included the following and I can help you to do the same.

I have learned how to make myself a priority without feeling mom/wife guilt.

I have learned that my energy is not the same as others and that I am beautifully designed to operate differently than other people in my life.

I learned that my emotional authority is part of the reason I have spontaneous high and low days, this is ok and natural for me. I released old beliefs about myself around this and the shift has changed how I view myself daily.

I have deconditioned myself of the 90s and early 2000s toxic diet culture. I love and accept my body and celebrate all that it does for me as is. No improvements required!

I have also learned how to move and nourish my body without punishment and restrictive eating.

I have deepened relationships with my immediate family by understanding my personal human design and how our human designs work together as a family unit.

I have released the judgmental mentality that ruled my life for decades.

I live in an abundance mindset. There is more than enough for everyone!

I have healed sister wounds and old beliefs related to trusting other women.

I am no longer triggered by interactions with family members. I have learned how to regulate when around these individuals and set firm boundaries.

I am kinder to myself.

I have created a business and built confidence in my abilities!
The accomplishments are just a few of the big breakthroughs I have had. The daily transformations continue, and I celebrate them every single day. My transformation has been an authentic change from the inside out and will continue as I consider myself to be a work in progress. I celebrate that I am not perfect and what I have accomplished over the past several years and I am here to help you do the same!

Diving into Human Design with Magan as my guide and mentor has been a fascinating and eye opening experience. She balances her extensive knowledge and competence with wholehearted empathy and care for her clients. It’s amazing how on point Human Design is! I feel like I am finally gaining a better understanding of myself and how to live in alignment.
